The Townsville Chiefs inaugural side kicked off in September 2019, a non-for-profit organisation that have been raising money for registered charities & cause since then.

These Heroes are made up of different staff from all areas of the business at the Townsville Correctional Centre. The Chiefs enter into the Townsville community Masters gala event held annually at Western Lions Club, Kirwan, Charles Street. The event usually comprises of approximately 7 to 9 teams all from North Queensland.

"We have been raising money for registered charities and causes since then and currently sit at $16,000 raised and handed over. Every dollar we raise goes to charity and we are in the process of being registered as a non-for profit incorporation through the office of fair trading."
